Andrew Murray's Research

Andrew Murray is Reader in Law at the London School of Economics and Political Science.

His main research interest is in the socio-legal implications of emergent regulation of Cyberspace, in particular human rights implications and protection of the individual. He also researches in the fields of electronic commerce, particularly e-contracting and in Internet architecture as a tool of control, in particular the role of the Domain Name System as a control mechanism.

Andrew has written over thirty book chapters, academic papers and review articles on diverse subjects such as the chilling effect of the UDRP process, regulatory constructs in cyberspace and electronic contracting. He is co-editor of an exciting new collection of essays entitled Human Rights in the Digital Age, Glasshouse Press, co-edited by Andrew and Mathias Klang of the University of Gothenburg, and author of The Regulation of Cyberspace: Control in the Online Environment (2006, Routledge-Cavendish).
