Hi, everyone. It's been a busy summer, and I've been in and out of town...mostly out. I'm woefully behind on commenting, but I am reading. I haven't been disappointed yet! You guys continue to amaze me with the depth of your characterizations and the care you put into your stories. This is still, hands down, my favorite list. I wish I had had the time to give you all the individual commentary you deserved, but the summer has been hectic, to say the least.

I have, at last, written up the missing scene challenge for August/September.  I'm looking forward to whatever you all come up with.

AUGUST/SEPTEMBER 2001SLASH CHALLENGE

We have two episodes again for you to consider. Feel free to either or both.

#1 Theory of Revolution. Ah yes, the one you've all been waiting for!

This one is open to just about anything you want to do with it. You might want to write an epilogue that picks up after the kissing and "baying wolf" howl. Or you might write a missing scene for the time Face spent in the compound. Feel free to change the ep if you like. What if Face had not gotten out when the CIA guys did? What if he'd been recaptured on the way out? These are just suggestions.

Feel free to do anything you like with this ep, with any pairing. I imagine your fertile minds have already been constructing missing scenes for this popular and eminently slashable episode!

#2 Recipe for Heavy Bread

In this episode the guys recall that Lin Duk Coo saved them and others from starvation in the POW camp and that Tommy Angel sold out the others. General Chao is after Lin, Tommy is trying to distribute  his dope, and Hannibal is determined to save Lin.

Murdock babbles on about golf balls. He is, in fact, very concerned about the abuse of the balls. Is this Freudian, or what?

The team messes up Face's connections at the restaurant, commandeers his apartment, and messes up the garage "common area." He complains that they're going to mess up the "best deal I ever had." But as time goes by he seems less and less interested in impressing the other residents. Wonder why?

Did you notice that Face never interacts with Tommy Angel in the ep?

Hmmm.. Could Hannibal be keeping him away from the other man for a reason?

So, what can you do with these tidbits? Write an epilogue? A missing scene? A memory? Lots of different possible pairings here, and lots of ways to go. Have fun!
