"Life's a journey not a destination." - "Amazing" by Aerosmith
Sometimes, people talk about having arrived. It's easy to see moments in life as the "be all and end all." Then, life goes on and it can be rather disappointing. The moments only last for moments whether they are moments of glory or despair.
Some of us realize that we haven't arrived. Life is a journey like the above quote states. For some, it's a journey to the after life of everlasting bliss. Others believe that this world is all that we have. Whatever your beliefs, life is a journey. You pass through childhood and into adolescence and you can never go back.
I like to look at life as the journey toward an ideal. That ideal is a mountain peak off in a distance. Sometimes, I'm walking over open ground and my path toward it is obvious. More often, I don't have the choice of a clear path there. I have to make choices that can be little more than guesses. Every once in a while, I even lose sight of that peak.
The point is that I'll never get there and that fact doesn't bother me. Life is lived through the paths we choose. Do you decide to walk up to that shy looking person and greet them? Do you decide to pick flowers along the way?
Is there a peak in the distance for you? Some people don't mind walking about aimlessly and others see a variety of peaks but have yet to choose one as their landmark. As long as you know there is a road ahead, this might just be the place for you. It helps me to read the paths chosen by others so I've decided to gather a few here. Do you have any wisdom to offer your Fellow Traveller's? If so, join us and we'll review your site.
I only have a few requirements and most are flexible. This 'burb is for journals only. Since I want to be able to see your path, I'd like to you have at least a year of archives online. Secondly, I know I make mistakes too but I'll only consider sites that make an obvious attempt at spelling and grammar. Other than those minimal requirements, any journey will be strongly considered.
