1988 CADILLAC CIMARRON Cadillac Index
The Cimarron was refined for 1988 by the addition of a speed-density fuel control system, cross-groove drive axles with the standard five-speed transmission, and larger standard all-season and optional high-performance tires. Additional changes for 1988 included Another 1987 option made standard for 1988 in addition to the 14 in. alloy wheels and lower body side molding was a heavy-duty battery. Use of the 14 in. alloy wheels in place of the 13 in. wheels of 1987 also resulted in a retuning of the rear shock absorber valving.

For 1988 the Cimarron's MFI V-6 was equipped with a speed-density fuel control system. A new V-5 variable displacement air conditioning compressor was also adopted. The use of double-side galvanized steel was expanded to include the doors in 1988.
