No longer using the Fleetwood name. the Sixty Special’s refinements were in line with those of the DeVille series.
Already employing speed sensitive suspension and traction control as standard fare, the Sixty Special added speed sensitive steering to the list.
Front end styling was revised with a “bolder” appearing grille.
Inside front seating was a 45/55 design for the driver and two front passengers.
The new styled seats featured French stitching and included front dual comfort, six-way power seat adjusters, manual recliners, adjustable headrest, and seatback pockets.
An Ultra Seating Package was optional, and included a split frame design that allowed for adjustment of the lower seat cushion independently of the seatback.
A trunk convenience net was a new standard item on the Sixty Special.
The net mounted transversely across the trunk conpartment to secure items from rolling or sliding.
Pass-Key II anti-theft system was also a standard feature.
