The Eldo coupe and ETC (Eldorado Touring Coupe) again comprised the series, both, again, powered by the Northstar 4.6-liter V-8 mated to the AT8OS electronically controlled four-speed automatic transmission with viscous converter clutch.
Due to the aforementioned new fluid induction system, the Northstar received in 1995, the Eldo's and STC’s horsepower ratings each increased by five over the previous year's measure.
The Eldo now claimed 275 horsepower (up from 270) while the ETC had 300 horses (up from 295).
Additionally, the ETC also gained torque: 295 pound-feet (up from 290).
The appearance of the "base" Eldo was greatly refined with newly designed front and rear fascia and a chrome grille with body color perimeter and new integrated wreath-and-crest emblem (the previous stand-up hood ornament was no longer available.
Sail panel badging and wheel opening moldings were also discontinued.
Other changes included redesigned 16-inch cast aluminum wheels with diamond cut finish and seven-spoke pattern (common with Seville Luxury Sedan), foglamps integrated into the front fascia body color rocker and lower door moldings were now one-piece, bodyside molding was body color with chrome stripe and contained "ELDORADO" lettering, body color sill plate was integral, taillight perimeter was now Ruby Red color, front and rearside marker lamps were updated, beveled exhaust tips conformed to lower fascia contour and three new exterior water-borne color choices were offered: Shale, Pearl Red and Amethyst.
Inside, the Eldo received windshield wiper-activated headlamps, 20-second illuminated entry, electronic gear selector display, airbag electronic sensing and diagnostic module, and new Charisma cloth replaced the previous Bistro cloth and was available in Neutral Shade (cloth and leather).
Powertrain and chassis refinements included the aforementioned PG260 starter motor and fluid induction system as well as the integrated Chassis Control System that featured steering wheel angle sensor four-channel anti-lock brake system and ASR5 traction control.
The Northstar V-8 received a stiffening brace package to reduce vibration and the Eldo. overall, was stiffened via steering column struts tied in to the cross-car beam behind the instrument pane as well as corner gussets that replaced front shock tower to radiator tie bar braces.
Also new were tapered bail studs for the stabilizer bar link joints and lower friction upper control arm bushings.
New options included a electronic compass in the inside rearview mirror programmable garage door opener, chrome wheels (common to Seville Luxury Sedan), rear seat storage armrest, and two Nuance loather seating color choices: Neutral Shale and Cappuccino Cream.
Standard features unique to the Touring Coupe included an "ETC" decklid badge (there was no Touring Coupe identification on the doors): body color license
plate frame with "ELDORADO" lettering: five new exterior water borne color choices: Shale, Pearl Red, Amethyst, Cotillion white and Light Montana Blue: and four new Nuance leather seating color choices: Neutral Shale, Cappuccino Cream, Dark Blue and Dark Cherry.
Also revised on the ETC was its body color grille with new integrated wreath-and-crest emblem.
