Buckinghamshire Re-Appearance Of Milton Keynes Beast Cat
[Original headline: RETURN OF THE BEAST OF MILTON KEYNES]

The panther-like Beast of Milton Keynes has made a reappearance in Little Brickhill after a period away from the area.

The last reported sighting of the beast was in Westcroft at the beginning of the year, before John Hurkett and his partner June Dungate saw it at about 12.30pm on Friday [Feb 9].

The couple, who are keen birdwatchers, were looking out of their kitchen window at their Wyness Avenue home with binoculars when they spotted the animal “stalking” across an adjacent field.

At first, June said the beast appeared to be an Alsatian dog.

But when it came closer, John said: “It was definitely a panther.”

They then saw it disappear over the brow of a hill.

Beast hunter Steve Avery said that Little Brickhill had been a popular area for beast sightings a few years ago although there had not been any for a while.

The beast has previously been seen as far north of Milton Keynes as Olney and Newport Pagnell.
