Notes:
1. Dale Lewis wins a tournament to win the title.
2. National Wrestling Alliance rules John Tolos was the victim of a fast count and returns the title to
Tolos after Mendoza defended the belt in two months.
3. The title was vacated when Antonio Inoki was expelled form the Japan Wrestling Assocation on
December 13, 1971.
4. King Krow defeated Sailor Art Thomas in a tournament final to win the title.
5. The title was vacated on April 14, 1973 when the Japan Wrestling Association closes down.
6. Jumbo Tsuruta defeated American represenative, Jack Brisco, for the title after defeating the lat title
holder, Akihisa Takachiho to be the Japanese represenative.
7. The title was vacated on June 17, 1983 while on a tour in Dallas, Texas to concentrate on winning the
NWA International Title from Bruiser Brody.
8. Ted DiBiase wins a 12-man tournament final across the United States to win the title after defeating
Jerry Lawler by forfeit.
9. The title was vacated on Ferbuary 10, 1984 when David Von Erich died before a Japanese tour.
10. Gen'ichiro Tenryu defeated Ricky Steamboat to win the title. The title was vacated in February of
1986 when Tenryu gave up the title after being pinned by Yoshiaki Yatsu in a match for the International
Tag Team Titles.
11. Gen'ichiro Tenryu defeated Ted DiBiase for the title. Tenryu also won the PWF World Heavyweight
title from Stan Hansen on March 9, 1988 in Yokohama, Japan.
12. Stan Hansen won both the PWF World Heavyweight and NWA United National Heavyweight
Titles.
13. Jumbo Tsuruta, the NWA International Heavyweight Champion, defeated Stan Hansen to unify all
three titles to become the first All-Japan Triple Crown Heavyweight Champion.
